About Us

Late nights, cozy corners, and tea that warms the soul.

The Heart Behind the Hearth

We began with a simple idea: create a warm, welcoming space where every guest feels at home and conversations flow naturally.

The Hearth exists to help our local community slow down and reconnect—with God, with others, and with themselves. Through warm hospitality, great food and beverages, and intentional spaces for both conversation and quiet, we create a haven where people find spiritual family, healing, and belonging.

the god story

Hurshman, Hudson, & Van Dyke have come together to bring you The Hearth. You'll find Caleb hosting conversations around the fire pit, you'll find Corbin brewing the best tea you've ever had, and you'll find Alena doing “all the things."

The three of us have “worked for God" full time for a few years, first separately, and then together, as the Lord brought us together to do life and ministry side by side.

The Lord started tugging on Corbin & Caleb's hearts many years ago, that there must be a place in downtown Hollister where the community could connect, slow down, and find their spiritual family. They both fondly and passionately speak about how transformative and healing late-night conversations were years ago on Downing Street. It was a special place for all the locals.

When we decided to recreate the Farmer's Market in downtown Hollister in summer 2025, we wondered if it was the precursor to building The Hearth. When the guys found out the space at 111 St. James was for rent, Corbin and Caleb immediately knew it was time. God intervened and quickly opened the doors for us to create this space for Him and for you.

Through the generous donations of many, The Hearth was created as a branch of Alena Van Dyke Ministries, a 501(c)(3) ministry. After 3 months of very late nights, a lot of paint & heavy lifting, we opened on Occtober 21st, 2025. We are honored to serve our local community and those who pass through Branson by providing a place where they can have tea with Jesus. We hope you find the peace of his presence in our space which is bathed in prayer.
